Parks and Recreation

Our quaint and rural township features scenic views, with plenty of outdoor activities to keep residents, and visitors alike, busy all year round. We have two Township parks: Barshinger Park & Liberty park. Barshinger Park has a walking track, small pavilion, plenty of sports fields, with a concession stand and ample parking. Liberty park is located in the Wrightsville section of Hellam Township, and offers playground equipment for all local families. We're also excited to have the newly minted Susquehanna Riverlands State park, which at its completion, will have hiking, picnicking pavilions, as well as camping amenities, and many more recreational activities available.
