York County has enacted a burn ban which will remain in effect from Friday, November 1, 2024 through Saturday, November 30, 2024.​ Due to the dry weather and fire danger, residents are restricted from any type of open burning during the ban.
Hellam Township Municipal Offices will be closed Monday, November 11th, in observance of Veterans Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, November 12th, at 7:00AM. If you have an emergency, dial 9-1-1. For non-emergencies, dial County Control at 717-854-5571.  

Does the Township require a business license?

The Township does not require a license for you to run a business. However, you need to verify all State and County regulations first before proceeding. You’ll also need to speak with the zoning officer before starting any business within the Township, to make sure you’re adhering to the appropriate zoning guidelines.
