Water utilities across the United States are working to comply with the EPA’s (Environmental Protection Agency) Lead and Copper Rule Revisions. They are completing a water service line inventory that identifies the lead service lines on the customer-owned side of the water service. If a lead service line is confirmed, York Water will replace those lines at no cost to the customer.
York Water is reaching out to customers asking for their help in identifying their service line material. Information on how to determine the material type can be found below:
